Bank of America Continues to Fish for Green Consumers

Posted by admin December - 11 - 2008 - Thursday

Bank of AmericaIt looks like the California’s Governor’s Environmental Economic Leadership Award (GEELA) has been given to the Bank of America (BoA) for its pioneering efforts. It seems that BoA is the only financial service or banking corporation to win the award this season.

BoA certainly appears to be making some inroads into becoming a greener corporation. Indeed it seems that BoA is continuing to fish for the green consumers: it is possible that  green consumers may have needs for BoA personal loans sometimes, to maybe build a wind generator or to purchase solar panels.

It will be interesting to read the future annual accounts of the bank to assess if the green focus results in increased profit, which sadly is often the thing that most shareholders are ruthlessly interested in.
