Great Little Books

Posted by admin December - 29 - 2008 - Monday

If you received any book vouchers for Christmas and are looking for a couple of little books to purchase, then I highly recommend the Little Book of Value Investing by Browne and Little Book of Common Sense Investing by Bogle.

The Little Book of Value Investing helps the reader understand Browne’s perspective on investing. It provides a back to basics approach by placing emphasis on basic financial ratio analysis such as the Profit to Earnings (PE) ratio analysis and how important it can be.

The Little Book of Common Sense Investing guides the user through Bogle’s view of not putting all of eggs in one basket, in other words try and use index funds. The bit of this book that I am currently struggling with is the fact many of the index funds have decreased in value significantly in the last year: hopefully I am just not taking a long enough market view. This book however remains great reading.

Take my advice about these books, which are two great little books to spend any book vouchers on.
