It appears that the Commonwealth Bank, which is one of Australia’s largest banks, appears to be continuing to offer its consumers a selection of banking financial products. Within the products being offered are Commonwealth’s credit card line.
I continue to be surprised how in this tight banking market there are numerous credit cards still being offered to individuals, the reality however is that the credit card application for Commonwealth and other banks is much tougher than a few years ago, when the banks appeared to be desperate for any credit card business.
It will be interesting to see how the credit card industry develops during 2009, both in the Australian and global banking markets.
