9 of 10 US Banks Pass The Fed Test

Posted by theaccountant November - 9 - 2009 - Monday

Ten of the biggest US banks have recently undergone the Fed’s capital stress test. Bank of America, Wells Fargo, PNC bank, Citigroup and Sun Trust are some of the bank holding companies which have apparently passed the Federal Reserve’s capital stress test. The only one of the ten larger US banks which failed the stress test was GMAC, but the Fed issued a communication explaining the plans which will hopefully enable GMAC to pass the stress test shortly.

The Fed’s stress test has been designed to help test the impact of higher unemployment and lower economic growth figures.
