Yes, for many of us our American Express bills are starting to arrive after the excesses of the December holidays. All of those critical absolutely essential items to purchase on our American Express (AMEX) credit card suddenly look not actually that important, now that the consolidated credit card bill has been posted through our door. I have been left looking at bags of nuts on the sideboard, piles of cheese in the refridgerator, piles of Christmas DVDs and a multitude of Nintendo DSi games. Did anybody else get sucked into the usual frenzy of December holiday excesses? I certainly did. Maybe next year I will cut up my credit card and focus on the original intentions of the festivities, well maybe in a few years…..
