  • Balance transfers – No interest on any balance transfer made from another credit agreement for the first ten months of your Sainsbury’s credit card account.
  • Shopping at Sainsbury’s – No interest on any purchases made when shopping at Sainsbury’s for the first twelve months after opening your credit card account. This applies to any purchase made at a Sainbury’s supermarket, petrol station or online at sainsburys.co.uk.
  • Shopping elsewhere – No interest on purchases made outside of the Sainsbury’s group (either in the UK or abroad) for the first three months after receiving your Sainsbury’s credit card.
  • Global use – All over the world, Sainsbury’s credit cards can be used to draw funds at millions of bank counters and in excess of 800,000 automated teller machines (ATMs).
  • Credit card protection – Sainsbury’s credit card protection is an optional insurance that can help to minimise the impact of loss of earnings through redundancy, illness or an accident related injury. Card protection can also be taken out to cover all of your credit cards (Sainsbury’s and non-Sainsbury’s) in case of theft or loss.
  • Online account management – Your Sainsbury’s credit card account can be managed securely online, giving you the ability to look check your statements and purchases at any point on any day of the week.
  • Security against fraud – Sainsbury’s credit cards use Chip and PIN technology to help protect you against the fraudulent usage of your card by criminals. Sainsbury’s Bank also monitors your Sainsbury’s credit card usage for unusual activity that suggests unauthorised usage.
  • Sainsbury’s Nectar points – Becoming a Sainsbury’s customer entitles you to inclusion in the Nectar points reward scheme. Making payments with Sainsbury’s credit cards will earn you Nectar points, which can be exchanged for goods in Sainsbury’s stores or within dozens of Nectar affiliated companies.

  • Should be UK residents
  • Must have good credit
  • Must have a UK bank/building society account
  • Must be employed.
