Tinker Federal Credit Union was founded in 1946 by a handful of Tinker Field civilian workers, in order to finance home purchases and provide savings possiblilties in what looked to be a growing area in the state of Oklahoma. Headquartered in Oklahoma City itself, Tinker Federal Credit Union has since grown into an organization that has over 20 branches across the state.
